Feasibility study HydroxyHub at power plant site
Walsum Power Plant, Duisburg, Germany – Feasibility Study HydroxHub
STEAG Power plans to install a new large-scale hydrogen electrolysis plant (HydroxyHub) at the Walsum site. The electrical power consumption of the electrolysis shall be 100 MW as a basic variant.
Iqony Solutions (IQS) provided the following services:
- Establish the rough concept (including interface definition)
- Clarification of the concept for electrolysis and compressors
- Rough dimensioning of electrolysis plant and auxiliary plants (switchgear, VE plant, storage, compressor plant)
- Clarification of grid connection and power supply from HV mains
- Examination of location synergies
- Examination of approval issues
