Future refinery power plant: studies and planning services

Future Refinery Power Plant, Leuna, Germany

The project “Future Leuna” comprises extensive tests and planning services for the flexibilization of the Leuna refinery power plant.

The scope of the project essentially consists of:

    • Refitting two existing boiler systems for the use of liquid as well as gaseous fuels (expansion of the fuel range by natural gas) (Phase 1)
    • Flexibilization of the steam production by adapting the existing plants as well as integration of new plant components like steam accumulator, pressure reducing stations, auxiliary condenser, spray cooler, and heat exchanger (Phase 2)

The services rendered by Iqony Solutions (IQS) for the project “Future Leuna” so far comprise:

    • Preliminary and design planning (pre-FEED)
    • Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) incl. assignment planning (only for Phase 1)
