Replacement Transport Container Storage Facility for Fuel Element Containers – ESTRAL
The ESTRAL facility is currently in the planning phase. It is erected on the premises of the company EWN GmbH in Lubmin / Rubenow north-east of the interim storage facility Nord, in the context of the raised safety requirements to storing fuel element containers since 2011.
As a consequence, the container storage facility has to be rebuilt.
IQS is the EPC contractor and responsible for the overall plant design including support of the approval process with public participation and coordination of experts as well as for the construction.
